Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Mini chocolate chips

Equipment

  • 1 Waffle iron Preheated and greased
  • 2 Mixing bowls One for wet, one for dry ingredients

Method
 

Prepare the Waffle Iron
  1. Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Combine Wet and Dry
  1. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently—don’t overmix.
Cook the Waffles
  1. Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden and crisp (4–5 mins).
Serve
  1. Serve immediately with toppings of your choice.

Notes

Don't overmix the batter to keep the waffles fluffy. Preheat your waffle iron for best texture. Great for batch prep and freezing!
